Christmastime has come and gone

Basically, my title says it all. Christmas is over and it leaves me a little sadder knowing the months of anticipation have rolled over and exposed the underbelly of the holidays. Now that New Year's has passed, I'm left in the unbearable shock that Christmas spirit can and is turned off like a faucet come December 26. Don't holidays understand that I need my bearings? It takes me more than 24 hours to appreciate the magic of Christmas! That's why I need to start my own traditions (which is why for this purpose only I often wish I was 32, married, and with children) so I can create and appreciate my own holiday bringings.

In other news, a week before the holidays, I celebrated my nineteenth birthday along with the conclusion of the semester. Here's my report card:

Anthropology 101: B
English 215: A
Comparative Literature 208: A
Math 105: B
(a 3.5 GPA)

And I'm just realizing now how ironic it is that I did better in my upper level classes than the lower. Idle hands and what not. I advise any young college freshman akin to AP classes (or life in general) to not waste his or her time with 100 level classes. In my experience they are mind numbing and horribly time consuming in the grand scheme.

Let's just say things are well, 19 feels great, and I'm looking forward to next semester.
